After playing Pitchshifter's previous www.pitchshifter.com I found myself hoping that the new album would be as ingenious. Unfortunately, I think that "going corporate" has finally whitewashed the spunk out of this band.

Not to say that this isn't a quality album. It's well-produced and sounds great. It's just that most of the songs sound uninspired and weak. The whole album has less of an electronic feel and more of a modern rock sound to it. There are a few tracks that differentiate themselves from the main body, but on the whole, I find myself wanting more.

Buy this album if you sorta liked previous efforts but found them to be too off of the beaten path.
